Dog Training is Back!

We’ve had enough interest in dog training that we’re back on the schedule with an upcoming class! Sheryl will be teaching a basic manners class starting Tuesday, Aug 28 (yes, less than a week away!). If you want to attend, please call Sheryl ASAP and let her know. Then you can download the registration form from the Downloads section and mail it in with the class fee. Be aware that the completed registration form and payment must be received before the first day of class.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Dog Training – Basic Manners

We will be offering an introductory 6-week dog training class starting July 10. This is a great way for you to meet other dog owners and develop a stronger bond with your dog (not to mention get a better-behaved dog out of it!). We’re keeping the class small, so if you want to participate please contact Sheryl asap. The class is $80, and the class fee and signed training contract are required prior to the beginning of class. Dogs must be current on all vaccinations and must be at least 4 months old. We hope you can participate!

Dog Training Postponed

We had a lot of interest in the dog training class, but in the end it just didn’t work out with people’s schedules. We were also a little concerned about the heat. So, we’ve decided to postpone any dog training until the Fall and will just see what kind of interest we get then. Feel free to call or e-mail if you’re interested, and we’ll also be posting information on our Facebook page.

New Drop-Off / Pick-Up Policy

We’re still learning what works best for us, and we’ve discovered the need to implement a new policy for drop-off and pick-up:

Effective June 4, 2012

  • Drop-offs and pick-ups are by appointment only and are between 9am – 9pm

Our schedules vary by the day. We’ll try to accommodate you the best we are able, but cannot guarantee you a drop off or pick up within those times.

We’re also experimenting with the following drop-off / pick-up benefits to you:

  • Drop-offs between 5 – 9pm will be a half day charge for that day
  • Pick-ups between 9 – 11am will also be a half day charge

This can change at any time. We’ll see how it goes. We hope you like it!

Thanks for your understanding!

Agility Showcase at the Kingsburg Farmer’s Market

We will be at the G.J. Gardners Kingsburg Farmer’s Market on Thursday, June 7th. We’ll be demonstrating agility, obedience, and dancing with Cosette and Maiyah. It starts at 6pm and should be a lot of fun!

Pet Perspective

Sheryl is a regular contributor to the Pet Perspective section of Kings River Life online magazine. Check it out, and let her know if there are any topics you’re particularly interested in!

Kennel revamp & indoor boarding

We’re down to 2 outdoor kennels. We’re reconstructing one of our kennels to make it more secure, have better shade, and an elevated bricked area. We anticipate it to be completed some time in March 2012.

We also recently purchased some small crates to allow us the ability to house smaller dogs inside. Not all dogs are candidates for indoor boarding, but if we feel it is a good fit for us, we’re open to it.

If you have any ideas or suggestions/request, please let us know!
